“STATIONS” is the third conceptual project of „IVAN ASEN 22“ conceptual designers‘ platform.

Boryana Rossa’s exhibition is an autobiographical tale recreated through painting, photography, objects, video, drawings, and documentation of her performances.

The main topic of the play is the problem of the person’s identity and his nationality in terms of world globalization. The unique style of the author interweaves the current problem of integration of refugees and immigrants in Europe. The dramatic interpretation emphasizes the tragicomedy aspect of the relationships that can reach absurdity and surrealism.

This exhibition certifies some formal, morphological and subject ongoing preoccupations for the art objects and attitudes classified according to the cuteness esthetics. “Taking into account this aesthetical category combines the two concepts: commodity fetishism and subjectivity mutilation, as well as its own morphological vector, – Kindchenschema (or “baby schema”) – it leads to the unique conclusion that this approach doesn't belong to a single cultural tradition.

Alexander Gerginov, Antonia Pashova, Georgi Florov, Katya Lozanova, Neli Mitewa, Radostina Klinkova, Sylvia Roustcheva, Stanislava Dimitrova & Antoniya Raycheva turn 1,5 km of elastic bands into sculptural garments, video art and an installation, especially elaborated for the space of Sofia Arsenal – Museum for Contemporary Art.
