Sofia Underground 1997-2003 Files presents the festival
in its first years and authentic form. The video documentation from the period 1997-2003 with performances and actions of some of the most interesting writers of the Bulgarian scene can be seen in SAMCA. In addition the video documentation “files” containing photos and articles
and several original works, and the parallel program of the exhibition presents performances and interventions
performed live.
The will of its creator Rouen Rouenov, stated by him in lifetime, is to move the archive of the Sofia Underground Festival into SAMCA collection.
The present exhibition is realized by the team of Sofia Underground Performance Art Fest, Studio Dauhaus - Independent culture and contemporary art platform, ArtExpress 2004 EOOD and Sofia Arsenal - Museum of Contemporary Art.
