SAMCA participation in scientific conference Social Functions of the Museum in XXI Century

On 6th and 7th October took place a scientific conference named Social Functions of the Museum During XXI Century celebrated on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the National Earth and Man Museum, Sofia. During the conference were discussed different topics related to the social functions of the museum, such as the changing concept of museum, the role of new technologies in the museum activity development, as well as the necessity of advertising strategy. Other main topic was the role of the audience, its function and profile.  Nadezhda Dzhakova, head of Sofia Arsenal – Museum for Contemporary Art takes part on this subject with her lecture Study of the Audiences in the Art Museums. The Actual Situation in the National Gallery in Sofia. She shares the results from a quest held in all branches of the National Gallery. It shows the profile of the audience, their personal point of view and their preferences. Also, Nadezhda Dzhakova presents the initiatives and projects, leaded by herself in SAMCA, that have the purpose to reach new publics for example Theater in the Museum, Space – Audience, as well as interactive workshops for roman children.
